Isotopic Tracing of Water Yield and Chemical Loadings for Evaluating Sensitivity to Acid Deposition

This study was directed at improving upon existing knowledge of water cycling and biogeochemical processes in complex, ungauged areas of the boreal forest in the Oil Sands Region, northeast Alberta. Stable isotopes were applied in site-specific field studies, for estimating lake water balance and landscape runoff contributions in complex wetland terrain. Collaborative research with various academic institutions guided the objectives of the study.
