Risk Communication Plan for the Issues Surrounding the Risk Assessment of Trace Metal and Air Contaminants in the Athabasca Oil Sands Region

A study was conducted to gather the information necessary to develop a risk communication plan that would meet the needs of TMAC and all other parties interested in and/or affected by environmental and human health risk issues associated with trace metals and air contaminants in the area around the Athabasca oil sands. The work was carried out within a risk communication process framework that included problem formulation, needs assessment, communication strategy design, communication strategy implementation, and evaluation.
